The "F" word...(forgiveness that is.)

Years ago one of our old pastors said the most profound thing during a sermon on forgiveness.

"The person you are having an imaginary argument conversation with in your head, is the person you most likely need to forgive and love."

Profound huh?

I would be embarrassed to tell you how many times on a weekly basis that I have had just those conversations in my own head, with other people.

Maybe, I feel I was wronged, unfairly judged, or hurt by someone. Maybe I feel misunderstood and need to prove myself or my point to someone.  Maybe I feel someone else is doing something wrong and I need to open up a can of judgement on them.

It really doesn't matter, does it?

It is so much easier to retreat into our own head and plan our battles there, rather than give a person a little forgiveness. It is so much easier to want to protect our fragile egos as opposed to loving someone else who we don't feel worthy of love.

Easy doesn't make things right though. Does it?

Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake has forgiven you."

How bout we all walk through our day with a tender heart, kindness, and forgiveness towards all those around us?  I am!

HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY Y'all !!
